Bolton Bridge Club

Bolton Bridge Club is situated just to the north of Bolton Town Centre - at the junction of Chorley Old Road and Chorley New Road. Please use these links if you require a Map or directions.

The club is based in a converted Victorian house and offers 3 playing areas, a bar, lounge and kitchen. Duplicate sessions are held on most evenings and visitors are welcome.

In addition to our regular events a number of special competitions are held. Please see our Calendar for details.

Lessons for beginners and improvers are held on a regular basis - please use the link above for details.

Afternoon duplicate sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These are privately run by club members. They are aimed at improvers with assistance being available. However all are welcome.

Spring Bank Holiday Swiss Teams

The Spring Bank Holiday Swiss Teams event was won on a split tie by Barrie Newall's team (Brian Ripley, Julia Newall and Ewart Evans) from Mike Nicholson's team (Steve Haley, Marianne Farr and John Morrell).

Spring Ladder

The Spring Ladder, which finished on Tuesday 15 April, was won by John Ashworth. The runner-up was Brian Armitage. Full details are on the Results page.

Championship Pairs

The Championship Pairs on 5 April was won by Des King & Alex Wilkinson. The runners-up were Sue Whittam & Linda Wilson. Full details are on the Results page.

Handicaps

The Handicap Ladder for the new quarter is now on the Results page. It will become progressively more meaningful as the weeks go by.
